2019 COMPETITIONS and EXHIBITS

**All Registration Forms are fill-able online.  Please fill out, print, and mail back or deliver to Ken Miller, 231 Farmers Market Drive, Hillsville, VA 24343 (Mail-in or early delivered entries must be received by 5PM on Thursday September 26th otherwise items my be brought to the festival location on Saturday September 28th, Downtown Hillsville between 10AM and no later than 3PM for Judging)

Best Carved, Best Etched and Largest Grown Pumpkins
They must arrive in exhibit hall area (Carroll County Historic Courthouse) from 10:00AM – 3:00PM on Saturday September 28th.

Best Decorated
Entries will be accepted throughout the day until 3:00 pm and may be completed on-site. Winners will be announced at 3:30 pm at which time pumpkins can be picked up or left on display along the historic court house wall through the Halloween Season.

Pumpkin Pie Bake-Off

Break out your best pumpkin pie recipes and sharpen your culinary skills for the Carroll County Pumpkin Festival’s Great Pumpkin Pie Bake-Off, a new featured event this year! See official contest rules and how to enter below.

 Contest Rules
Bake your best pumpkin pie, using pumpkin as your main ingredient.

 Present one (1) freshly baked homemade pie between 9:00 and 10:30 AM on Saturday.
Pies will not be accepted after 10:30 AM.
Judging begins at 11 AM.

 Bring your pies in disposable pie pans, with the form attached containing your name, address and phone number.
Decisions are the sole responsibility of the judges and are final.

Coloring Contest

No Ordinary orange orbs have a place in our Pumpkin Patch. Be creative drag out your pens, ink, sequins, paints, crayons, beads, feathers, glitter, pom-poms, glue, tape, staples – or whatever else you can scare up- and decorate our pumpkins.

The coloring contests area will be set-up at the Hale Wilkenson Carter Home during our event.

From tiny tractor racing to slugging through a pile of corn, human-powered pumpkin chunkin, hay ride and heritage equipment demonstrations to enjoying seasonal treats, our Pumpkin Festival is sure to be a blast!
